i went to Raleigh, N.C. last weekend to hear the North Carolina Youth Chamber Orchestra perform my first orchestral composition, which i wrote in the summer of 2008 as a dedication to my favorite classical composer, Morton Feldman. it was a good way to spend a weekend (and the weather wasn't bad either). thanks so much to grant, susan, richard, jessica, christopher, and my rents for helping to make this happen!

heres a 12 minute amalgam i made last july of excerpts of various songs ive recorded. one of the featured underlying things is a solo piano piece called pure potentiality. it also has clips from some of my hip hop beats, metal songs, keyboard improvisations, acoustic guitar improvisations, a recording of a church organ turning on, and some more weird stuff. it took so long to make that by the time i was done recording it i was completely sick of it, but now that some time has passed, im enjoying listening back to it, so i thought id put it up.
